Documentation of the Components

Tree View

The tree view allows to select which page is shown at the right. The nodes are sorted generally in the same order as the pages should be used in most cases.

Button Previous

This button allows to navigate through the pages, it will show the previous page, but will not show pages at a deeper level. This behaviour can be changed by the current page, for instance to skip pages that are useless with the currently set options.

Button Next

This button allows to navigate through the pages, it will always go to the page of the node directly under the current one. This behaviour can be changed by the current page, for instance to skip pages that are useless with the currently set options.

Previous and Next

These buttons allow to navigate through the pages. The button Next will always go to the page of the node directly under the current one, while the button Previous will not show pages at a deeper level. This behaviour can be changed by the current page, for instance to skip pages that are useless with the currently set options.

Status Bar

Shows hints about the components under the mouse pointer.

Splitter

By clicking on this bar and dragging it with the mouse while holding the mouse button the proportions of the tree view and the page at the right an be changed. Double clicking it will either minimize the tree view or set it to its ideal width.

Group Box

The GroupBox contains the current page and shows its title.

Welcome!

This is the first page and it is shown when the program starts. It contains a short introduction and two buttons for further information.

Show Documentation

Shows the documentation of this program. It is a number of HTML-files and should accompany the exe files in the directory "Documentation".

Visit Project Site

Shows the home page of this program, http://delphidoc.sourceforge.net/, in the default browser.

Menu File

Contains general menu items about the program. Currently there are only two items, one to show the options of the program, i.e. the last page, and another to end the program.

Menu View

Can be used to toggle the visibility of parts of the GUI. These are the status bar and the tree view on the main form. Then can be selected if the hints of the components should be shown in small hint windows (if you don't like the status bar). And the window showing the parsed source code can also be shown. Short cuts are defined for all these items.

Menu Help

Shows help and information about the program. The help on the GUI and the documentation, it is contained in a number of HTML-files and should accompany the .exe files in the directory "Documentation", can be shown. An overview on the command-line switches of the program and also some informations about it can be popped up. There is also an item to visit the home page of this program with the default browser, http://delphidoc.sourceforge.net/.
